Session Three: Internet Basics

computerClassDuring this introduction to the Internet, you’ll learn enough to get started on your exploration of the World Wide Web. The class will cover:

 

  • A brief history of the Internet
  • Various ways to connect to the Internet
  • What is a web browser?
  • Layouts of a typical web pages
  • What is a web address?
  • Search tools to help you find what you’re looking for.

This class is limited to six students and registration is necessary. You must have basic computer skills to attend this course (having completed the first two classes in the series would fill this requirement). Please contact the library if you would like to register.
