In the fall of 1999, roughly a dozen men and women came together to form The Synagogue at Malden Bridge and what is now The Chatham Synagogue, the first new Jewish congregation in Columbia County in almost a century and the first ever to serve the northern end of the county. Five years later, we now have a membership of more than 80 families and our own permanent home.

From our inception, we have sought innovative and creative ways to meet the needs of Columbia County's growing and diverse Jewish population. With your interest and support, we will continue.

We are an independent, fundamental, Bible-believing, missions-minded fellowship of believers, who affirm the deity of Christ, the verbal inspiration of the inerrant Scriptures, salvation by grace through faith and not of works, the virgin birth of Christ, His blood atonement, His bodily resurrection, and His imminent return for the Church.

E-Vam Buddhist Insitute of New York seeks to foster the study and practice of the Kagyu and Nyingma lineages of Tibetan Buddhism in the west. E-Vam Institute works to promote understanding between the Buddhist traditions and the other major faith tranditions in the world as well as bring greater understanding between the various Buddhist schools and lineages themselves.

The first Reformed Church in Kinderhook was built in 1677 and the second in 1717. The third church was built in 1814 at the site of the present church and was badly damaged by fire in 1867. It was rebuilt in 1869, where it stands today at its present location on the corner of Church and Broad Streets in Kinderhook, N.Y.

Gifted to New York Yearly Meeting in 1960, Powell House is a Quaker conference and retreat center, conducive to spiritual reflection, inspiration, and renewal.

Our mission is to foster the spiritual growth of Friends (Quakers) and others and to strengthen the application of Friends' testimonies in the world.

Built upon the foundation of Jesus Christ, the St. Luke's and Emanuel Lutheran Parish seeks to provide a light of hope in an uncertain world. We strive to support and challenge all to grow in faith through Scripture, prayer, and the Sacraments. We are committed to reach out in humility and love to our communities,sharing the good news of God's free grace with all.

The Shepherd's House is an exciting church family that was planted in the spring of 2005 by Michael & Mary Ellen Brennan. Michael & Mary Ellen, along with 35 other friends, were sent out from a larger church family in New York to plant a vibrant place of worship in the southern portion of the Capital District near Albany, New York. Although the Shepherd's house is still a young work, it is a increasing in every way by the Spirit of God and Jesus Christ is being exalted in the lives of the people and His fame is being spread throughout the region and unto the nations!
