Omi is a not-for-profit residency program for international visual artists, writers, musicians and dancers as well as the site for The Fields Sculpture Park, a year round public exhibition space for contemporary sculpture. Omi is situated on 300 acres of rolling farmland with spectacular views of the Catskills and the river valley.

The Hudson Opera House offers a year-round schedule of arts and cultural programming in the 1855 former Hudson City Hall which contains New York State's oldest surviving theater. The Hudson Opera House provides free or low-cost cultural offerings every week of the year. Ongoing programs include concerts, readings, lectures, exhibitions, theatre and dance presentations, after-school programs, workshops, classes, and community arts events like the annual Winter Walk on Warren Street.

Since 1969, The Mac-Haydn Theatre has been bringing musicals to life in a unique, intimate, charming 350-seat theatre-in-the-round, where every seat is less than 30 feet from the stage.

The history associated with Martin Van Buren and the culture of ante bellum America are deep, rich veins for discovering much about the country. Likewise, his farm Lindenwald provides a microcosm for us to learn about the transformations taking place in America during the 1840's and 1850's.

Olana was the last and perhaps greatest masterpiece created by Hudson River School artist Frederic Edwin Church (1826-1900). Church designed the landscape and his Persian style home on and around the same hilltop where, as an eighteen year old student, he sketched spectacular views of the Catskills and the river alongside his mentor Thomas Cole. A designated National Historic Landmark,Olana State Historic Site opened to the public in 1967. The house, its contents, and the landscape still look very much as they did in Church's day.
