James Agee: The Later Years

Though not quite popular in his lifetime, author James Agee’s literary merit skyrocketed after his death in the 1950s, even being awarded a posthumous Pulitzer Prize for his novel, A Death in the Family.  This presentation, sponsored by the Columbia County Historical Society, will discuss Agee’s life and legacy, with special attention being brought to his final resting place: a family home in Hillsdale, NY that has fallen into disrepair.
