Teen Advisory Board
Spooky season is approaching! There have been rumblings of a Haunted House this fall, and we need your help to get it off the ground! TAB is open to Grades 7-12, and every meeting gets you an hour of community service. Meetings are twice a month during the school year. (And by the way, we have snacks!) *This meeting is Supersized for Halloween prop construction!
Find out more »Hip-hop Freestyle Workshop w/ Salomon Mpondo-Dicka
Starting from the participants’ own techniques, practices, and approaches, Salomon Mpondo-Dicka’s workshop is an introduction to building a foundation in individual freestyle dance. Different aspects of freestyle hip-hop will be explored through exercises and short basic choreographic phrases, both solo and in groups. Participants will experiment with how fluidity, dissociation, and slowness break down into several forms to feed a collective vocabulary. First Responders Story Time Series- Rescue Squad
Join us for our series of story times with our very own local heroes, our first responders! We will host the Valatie Rescue Squad on Thursday, October 5th at 1 pm at the Kinderhook Library and the Stuyvesant Fire Department on Friday, November 10th at 1 pm at the Stuyvesant Town Hall. Paramedics and fire fighters from each company will be there to show off their equipment and give us tips on how to stay safe!
