SUMMARY:Meet Our New Pollinator Garden!
DESCRIPTION:Earlier this year\, local nonprofit The Understory began undertaking a large project at our library: the planning and planting of a new pollinator garden along our Sylvester Street fence! However\, this is not a typical pollinator garden: the plants in this garden are all native to New York State\, and even more specifically to Kinderhook itself. Using native plants is an important practice in sustaining a natural ecosystem\, so we were thrilled when The Understory approached us with this plan! \nCome hear Ashley Gamell\, a representative from The Understory\, discuss how this project aligns with their mission\, and get detailed information on the plants used\, the local wildlife that will be supported\, and the team of volunteers that will help keep this garden thriving!
