We know that Earth Day has come and gone, but let’s be honest—is one day really enough time to celebrate? We always love extending our Earth Day offerings, and this year we have an even more exciting reason to do so. As of April, we are a Certified Sustainable Library! For the past two years, we have been examining and adjusting our practices and policies to ensure that we are ready to serve our community for years to come!
So, help us keep Earth Day going! Take a pledge to go meatless for one day a week as part of our Meatless Mondays campaign, and bring some CDs to the Library to recycle! Thanks to our partnership with the Village of Kinderhook Climate Smart Task Force, we’re able to provide CD recycling to our community for free and help keep this e-waste out of landfills.
Keep an eye out for additional great programs on topics such as composting, identifying invasive plants, lead testing, and more!
