Thanks to a generous grant from Community Bank in Valatie, our Dino-Bites Series will run for 5 consecutive weeks and provide free lunches and snacks for kids joining us for a movie matinee. All sessions will be held on a Wednesday at 12:00pm.     Maria Ausherman presents three artists featured in her Absolutely Amazing American Artists children’s book series. Sarah Miriam Peale, one of America’s first woman artists, followed the example of her artistic family and painted national leaders. Whether hiking by the sea, in the woods, near a river, or in her backyard, Fidelia Bridges painted pictures of birds and flowers, many of which became the nation’s first greeting cards. Elise Forrest Harleston, South Carolina’s first African American woman photographer, was the first woman in the nation to co-own a portrait studio with her artist husband.
