    Tell us what to do! Help us plan teen events, improve our collection, and make the Library a better place for teens! Joining is easy: just stop by a meeting and enjoy a snack! Attendees earn one hour of community service per meeting. Open to Grades 6-12. Winter 2026 Meetings: Thursday, January 8 at 4pm Tuesday, January 20 at 4pm Thursday, February 5 at 4pm Tuesday, February 24 at 4pm Thursday, March 12 at 4pm Tuesday, March 24 at 4pm

    We will explore a new art medium every week including watercolors, clay, fingerpaints, paper crafts and more! This program has the potential to be messy so please dress little ones in clothes you don't mind getting dirty! Best for toddlers and pre-schoolers!

    Gentle Yoga will not be taking place on this date. We'll see you on March 27th! Gentle yoga is back at the Library! Those of us who have tried yoga have learned that it can be a lot more intense than it looks! That’s why we are working with Village Yoga to bring this exciting program back to the Library for those of us who are looking for a less strenuous, but just as relaxing, experience. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one. This series is brought to you thanks to a generous grant from The Hover Foundation.

    For young children, learning to read can be a daunting task. But sometimes, gaining confidence can be as simple as having a willing, non-judgemental, and furry ear to listen! Sign your child up today for the chance to read to certified therapy dog Windy at the library! Windy loves to listen to stories and is ready to snuggle up with an emerging reader to hear a fun tale. 

  • 100 Days of Ice and Snow: The Winter War (1939-40)

    Local historian Michael Robbins will be presenting on the 105-day conflict between Finland and the Soviet Union, highlighting how a vastly outnumbered Finnish force utilized guerrilla tactics to resist the Red Army. This was a short conflict that occurred relatively early on, but the significance and impact were felt throughout the duration of WW2. Michael will take us through the background and events of the conflict and discuss the lasting effects from the signing of the Moscow Peace Treaty.

    Grab some popcorn and drinks–our monthly movie matinees are back! We’re partnering with the Neighbors of Northern Columbia County to bring some classic films to our library for free! In February, we’re commemorating the legacy of Robert Redford with 1973’s Best Picture “The Sting”; then in March, we’re bringing some classic comedy with The Odd Couple (1968) starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau!
