If you're looking for a low-impact, gentle exercise in a welcoming group setting, be sure to stop by our new Tai Chi for Seniors program in Stuyvesant! We are partnering with the Office of the Aging to bring this free program to seniors. Stop by for this energizing exercise, and learn more about the various services provided by the Office of the Aging as well! This series is made possible due to a generous grant through The Ackerman Foundation. This event takes place weekly at the Stuyvesant Town Hall. Please contact us if you need assistance!
We will explore a new art medium every week including watercolors, clay, fingerpaints, paper crafts and more! This program has the potential to be messy so please dress little ones in clothes you don't mind getting dirty! Best for toddlers and pre-schoolers!
Gentle yoga is back at the Library! Those of us who have tried yoga have learned that it can be a lot more intense than it looks! That’s why we are working with Village Yoga to bring this exciting program back to the Library for those of us who are looking for a less strenuous, but just as relaxing, experience. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one. This series is brought to you thanks to a generous grant from The Hover Foundation.
Leave your parents at home because it’s KIDS NIGHT IN! Parents and caregivers can drop off children between 1 and 8 years old at the library for a fun and well supervised night of games, stories, snacks, and more! Enjoy a night out on the town for Valentine's Day and we’ll provide the childcare! Grab some popcorn and drinks–our monthly movie matinees are back! We’re partnering with the Neighbors of Northern Columbia County to bring some classic films to our library for free! In February, we’re commemorating the legacy of Robert Redford with 1973’s Best Picture “The Sting”; then in March, we’re bringing some classic comedy with The Odd Couple (1968) starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau!
