Doug Tallamy’s “Bringing Nature Home”

To celebrate our library’s (and our community’s) commitment to sustainability,we are collaborating with the Friends to kick off a brand new series of programs dedicated to keeping our homes and neighborhoods green, verdant, and healthy! Join us for a documentary screening of Doug Tallamy’s “Bringing Nature Home.” This talk was delivered to a packed auditorium at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem last October. His presentation discusses his grassroots conservation project to add native plants to our yards and landscapes.  Non-native species dominate most developed areas, but using Tallamy’s solution-based call to action, every person can help create habitat for beneficial insects, birds, and other wildlife.
