Known online as The Catskill Geologist, naturalists Robert and Johanna Titus will be visiting the Library to discuss their newest book The Hudson River Schools of Art and Their Ice-Age Origins. Robert and Johanna combine art and science to explore the unique geology of the Hudson Valley, and examine how this landscape impacted the culture and art that developed in the area. Books will be available for purchase.

We’re inviting Songs of Sisterhood to Stuyvesant this summer! This all female septet will perform songs written by women influential in music performance and social issues such as Helen Reddy, Joni Mitchell, Carol King, Big Mama Thornton as well as a few originals written by the band. Come out for an amazing performance at the Stuyvesant Town Hall! Cosponsored by the Music Performance Trust Fund and arranged by the Albany Musicians Association, Local 14.
Following an unfortunate run-in with a con artist, George Sistern seeks out the help of psychologist and philosopher Mildred to address his deep depression. What follows is a series of probing and insightful philosophical conversations between doctor and client, which asks just as much of the reader as of the protagonist.
