    Life is a cabaret, old chum, and we’re thrilled to have local trio Triple Entendre out to entertain you this evening with an hour of songs and laughs! This talented trio consists of local musicians Lucia Byrd, Cathy Olsen, and Diane Geddes, who are here to entertain us with some blues and Broadway favorites. Light refreshments and drinks will be served as you enjoy a fantastic evening. Thank you to the Friends of the Library for helping us arrange this wonderful event!

    Join us for this slightly ridiculous but super fun town-wide scavenger hunt for grownups to benefit library programs for children and teens! Grab a friend and make a team of 2 to 4 people and scramble around the Town of Kinderhook while finding or creating the most random assortment of items. Gather at the Library at 3:00pm for the start of the hunt; once you get your list of clues, the race is on! All clues must be received by the judges by 5:00pm at Tequila Sunrise. This season they've picked some real star vehicles, starting this month, with Gregory Peck as Captain Ahab in John Huston's Moby Dick from 1955.   • The Art and Activism of Faith Ringgold

    Join us for an in depth look at artist and activist Faith Ringgold. Learn how she combined social justice with contemporary art through her unique story quilts, and how the Harlem Renaissance informed her art and identity. Attendees will gain insight into her distinctive techniques, which combine painting and quilting to address themes of race, gender, and identity. Art historian and author Maria Ausherman will lead this presentation and discuss the historical context in which Faith worked.
