    If you're looking for a low-impact, gentle exercise in a welcoming group setting, be sure to stop by our new Tai Chi for Seniors program in Stuyvesant! We are partnering with the Office of the Aging to bring this free program to seniors. Stop by for this energizing exercise, and learn more about the various services provided by the Office of the Aging as well! This series is made possible due to a generous grant through The Ackerman Foundation. This event takes place weekly at the Stuyvesant Town Hall. Please contact us if you need assistance!

    This winter, the Teen Advisory Board is supporting the Columbia-Greene Humane Society through crafting! Come to the library to make dog and cat toys to be donated to local shelter animals.   • Make a Mural With Us- Part 1: Community Brainstorm

    We're creating our very own Super Stories mural for our children's room and we need YOUR help to make it happen! You can make your permanent mark on the library by dropping in on Sunday, January 25th from 2-4 pm to add your contributions and drawings during our brainstorming session. Part 2 of the mural will be completed on Sunday, February 8th during our community painting session from 12-4 pm.

    Bitter winds chill the air while the moon shines a cold smile on the ice and snow. Come to the library for a spine-tingling break from the cold with another horror movie night! Local master of horror Bruce Hallenbeck will be presenting two of his favorite midwinter films: The Thing From Another World (1951) and The Abominable Snowman (1957). You’re in for a treat—that is, if you are brave enough to venture out on a dark winter’s night.

    This program has been postponed. Please check back for a new date and time. Community oral health educator Sonam Verma will be back with a special tooth-healthy program for kids! Join us at noon to learn about some tasty and healthy snacks that will make you (and your dentist) say “sweet!” Kids will also make a special toothbrushing craft to help make sure that each tooth is getting all of the attention it deserves.
