The Right to Read shares the stories of an NAACP activist, a teacher, and two American families who fight to provide our youngest generation with the most foundational indicator of life-long success: the ability to read. Join a group of like-minded newbie menders and learn how to fix your own textiles at this friendly monthly gathering. You bring what you need to fix and any thread, needles, fabrics that you want to use. We’ll provide books, videos, and a little bit of experience to help you bring your textiles back to life while keeping them out of landfills!
