Tell us what to do! Earn community service hours by helping us improve the Library for teens! TAB advises on resources for teens and helps plan future events. TAB is open to Grades 7-12, and every meeting gets you an hour of community service. Meetings are twice a month during the school year. (And by the way, we have snacks!)
Kinderhook resident Sandra Tolosa will be leading a new class for those who like to add some upbeat tunes to their workouts! Moving With Music is the perfect way to loosen up after a hard day’s work!
Bake up some love this holiday season! We’re working with the Valatie Food Pantry this year to help distribute festive holiday cookie packages to those in need! How does it work? Sign up below to let us know that you’ll be participating. Bake a large batch of your chosen cookie (about 3 dozen) and bring them to the library on December 12th. Our volunteers will be putting together assorted boxes and delivering them to the food pantry later in the week!
Fresh coffee, delicious bagels, and new books?? What's not to like? Join library director Matt Pavloff (who is a huge fan of all three of these!) as he shares some of the newest titles being added to the Library's collection. Get great recommendations from other readers in the community, enjoy a delicious brunch, and grow your "to read" list! Thank you to Tierra Farm for providing their fair trade, organic coffee for our enjoyment!
The monthly meeting of the Library Board occurs on the third Tuesday of every month, excepting August, and is open to the public.

Fans of classic films and sci-fi will not want to miss this! Local film buff Bruce Hallenbeck is back with another classic double-feature for us! At 4:00pm, we'll start the evening with Invaders from Mars (1953), the first film to show aliens and UFOs in color! Following a brief break, we'll follow that with George Pal's The War of the Worlds (1953). Bruce will share a bit about each of these films before the screening. Light refreshments will be served.
