  • We Can Be Heroes–Documentary Screening

    Join us at the Library as we prepare for our annual Renaissance Fair for a special screening of the new award-winning documentary We Can Be Heroes directed by Carina Mia Wong and Alex Simmons. This film tells the story of three self-proclaimed nerdy teens who through LARPing (Live Action Role Playing) learn to open up and face their challenges. This documentary was filmed in Kingston and features prior collaborators The Wayfinder Experience. Light refreshments will be served.

    Hear ye, year ye! Take a step back in time and join us once again for our Mini-Renaissance Faire in the field across the street from the Library! We’re bringing back some old favorites like Birds of Prey through Whispering Willow Wild Care as well as vendors and food, but you’ll have to stop by to see what else we have up our sleeves! Dress up in your favorite medieval costume and spend the afternoon reveling with friends and family!

    Just like other systems in our bodies, our dental and oral health needs change as we age. Join us for a presentation with Sonam Verma, B.S. Health Science (Public Health), Community Oral Health Educator, as she shares important considerations for maintaining healthy smiles into our golden years. Participants will explore common concerns such as dry mouth, gum health, and denture care, and learn how oral health connects to overall conditions like heart disease and diabetes.
