Create the perfect floral arrangement just in time for Mother's Day! Local Florist Roseann Antonovich will be leading this craft using live spring blooms to create an elegant, fragrant, and unique design. Leave with your arrangement and some new skills to create more! We are partnering with the Office of the Aging to bring this free program to seniors. Stop by for this energizing exercise, and learn more about the various services provided by the Office of the Aging as well! This event takes place weekly at St. Joseph's Church in Stuyvesant, NY. We will explore a new art medium every week including watercolors, clay, fingerpaints, paper crafts and more! This program has the potential to be messy so please dress little ones in clothes you don't mind getting dirty! Best for toddlers and pre-schoolers!
Stretch out and shake off the burdens of the week with gentle yoga at the library. Our friends at Village Yoga are providing this free class twice per month for those who are looking for a less intense yoga experience. Space is limited, so please use the form below to save your spot! We are limiting signups to once class at a time, but will reach out to you if we have additional spots open. Please bring your own yoga mat if you have one!

Mayuko Fujino is a self-taught paper cutout and stencil artist from Japan who now lives in Copake, NY. Inspired by traditional Japanese stencil textile designs and the Mingei folk art movement, she has been making art since 1999 for clients such as the National Audubon Society, Atlantic Magazine, and the Nature Conservancy. This art exhibit, Birds of the Hudson Valley, showcases her stencil paintings using natural pigments, some of which were made from rocks collected in the Hudson Valley. She often finds inspiration in birds and the local natural landscape, as well as conversations with local birders, ecologists, and farmers. ... Read more
Calling all writers: the Library is hosting a workshop for writers of all experience levels! Local author Phyllis Carito will be leading this event that encourages authors practicing and sharing their writing with others, and developing skills while forming lasting connections. All are welcome, whether you've got a short story idea in mind or are putting the finishing touches on a new novel!
