All proceeds directly benefit the Library and help provide services, events, and resources to our community. This year, we are inviting teachers to come for a special deal: any teacher who  presents their school ID can take 10 free books to help stock their classroom library!

    Disinformation. Fake news. Propaganda. Author and Futurist Andrew Edwards will be hosting a lively discussion about disinformation, the ills of social media and the challenges presented by AI. Do we pay too high a price for instant connectivity? How have social media companies impacted civil discourse? Can government regulation help turn off the firehose of social media discord? Edwards offers his unique perspective on these key topics, informed from his years of experience in digital marketing and analytics.

  • Managing Invasive Species in Your Garden Sustainably

    Join Kristopher Williams from the Capital Region Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management (CR-PRISM) for a presentation on how to apply conservation-based practices on a small scale to provide ecosystem benefits within your yard or woodlot. The program will describe the need for native plantings, the benefits of producing a sustainable landscape on a small scale, and how to manage invasive species. The program will provide resources and open dialogue at the end of the program. Tools of the trade will be present for viewing.
