For teens Entering Grades 6-12 In Sept. 2026 Get ready, readers: the annual Battle of the Books competition is fast approaching, and this year we have a whole new program! Students entering Grades 6-12 in September 2026 are invited to join one Kinderhook Library Team for a summer of reading, trivia, snacks, and a variety of book-related activities to prepare for the Mid-Hudson competition in September. As one teen put it, Battle of the Books is "competitive book reading." Intrigued? Stop by the first meeting on May 15 to learn more!

Partnering with the Unknown Paranormal Society, we will be hosting lectures and panel discussions from renowned speakers in various fields, such as cryptozoology, ufology, parapsychology, and more. Meet authors and vendors selling books and other items, and learn about these fascinating topics from experts who study them every day.
