We are partnering with the Office of the Aging to bring this free program to seniors. Stop by for this energizing exercise, and learn more about the various services provided by the Office of the Aging as well! This series is made possible due to a generous grant through The Ackerman Foundation. This event takes place weekly at the Stuyvesant Town Hall. Please contact us if you need assistance!

That’s why we are working with Village Yoga to bring this exciting program back to the Library for those of us who are looking for a less strenuous, but just as relaxing, experience. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one. This series is brought to you thanks to a generous grant from The Hover Foundation.

  • Film Screening: Bloodlines of the Slave Trade

    Bloodlines of the Slave Trade examines the very different stories of two families linked to two notorious, wealthy slave traders of the 1830s, John Armfield and Isaac Franklin. Local resident Susanna Grannis is featured in this film, and has worked to trace back her roots which had previously been largely ignored. She will discuss her experience uncovering this history and meeting a distant relative, Rodney Williams, who is descended from an enslaved woman. Q&A to follow the screening with light refreshments.

Bring your Nintendo Switch to the event to show off your Animal Crossing New Horizons island, or bring a copy of your Dream Address so we can tour together! Don't have a copy of the game?
