If you’re interested in learning the art of tarot, you will not want to miss our newest meetup! Our tarot club will provide attendees with the chance to develop a deeper understanding of the individual cards and how to interpret them through hands-on practice. Help us get this new and exciting club off the ground as we learn together.
Adventurers: grab your dice and make a quest to the library for new, monthly Dungeons & Dragons events led by our local Dungeon Master, Dave! These evening sessions will introduce new players to D&D, and give returning players a chance to meet new party members. If you’re interested in more tabletop and RPG gaming, be sure to check out our website for additional events on Sundays and Tuesdays as well!
Join Mandy for stories and songs! All ages welcome! Please note that we do Story Time at 10:30 AND 11:30 am (and not from 10:30 to 12:00, just to be clear, thank you!)
If you're looking for a low-impact, gentle exercise in a welcoming group setting, be sure to stop by our new Tai Chi for Seniors program in Stuyvesant! We are partnering with the Office of the Aging to bring this free program to seniors. Stop by for this energizing exercise, and learn more about the various services provided by the Office of the Aging as well! This series is made possible due to a generous grant through The Ackerman Foundation. This event takes place weekly at the Stuyvesant Town Hall. Please contact us if you need assistance!
We will explore a new art medium every week including watercolors, clay, fingerpaints, paper crafts and more! This program has the potential to be messy so please dress little ones in clothes you don't mind getting dirty! Best for toddlers and pre-schoolers!
Gentle yoga is back at the Library! Those of us who have tried yoga have learned that it can be a lot more intense than it looks! That’s why we are working with Village Yoga to bring this exciting program back to the Library for those of us who are looking for a less strenuous, but just as relaxing, experience. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one. This series is brought to you thanks to a generous grant from The Hover Foundation.
Explore LGBTQIA+ books from all sorts of genres in this fun discussion group for teens! We will read a combination of young adult and middle grade novels in all sorts of genres. The Community Brainstorming sessions will be postponed to Sunday, February 1st from 2-4 PM due to the impending snowstorm! We're creating our very own Super Stories mural for our children's room and we need YOUR help to make it happen! You can make your permanent mark on the library by dropping in on Sunday, January 25th from 2-4 pm to add your contributions and drawings during our brainstorming session. Part 2 of the mural will be completed on Sunday, February 8th during our community painting session from 12-4 pm.
