This week they are showing the 1980 Country music drama: Coalminer's Daughter, starring Sissy Spacek and Tommy Lee Jones, based, of course, on the life of Loretta Lynn. Enjoy an early screening of the PBS documentary Free for All: The Public Library, which tells the story of the quiet revolutionaries who made a simple idea happen. From the pioneering women behind the “Free Library Movement” to today's librarians who assist the public despite push backs and budget cuts, meet those who created a civic institution where everything is free and the doors are open to all. Light refreshments will be served.
