In February, we’re commemorating the legacy of Robert Redford with 1973’s Best Picture “The Sting”; then in March, we’re bringing some classic comedy with The Odd Couple (1968) starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau!

Spend an afternoon learning about bees, beekeeping, and Hudson Valley honey at the Kinderhook Memorial Library on Sunday, February 22, with Slow Food Hudson Valley. In collaboration with Bee Hollow Farm—a family-owned, sustainably run apiary in the Hudson Valley—we’ll sit down with Certified Master Beekeeper Paul MacPhail, sample a range of local honeys, and take time to learn, ask questions, and explore our shared curiosity. RSVP here with a suggested donation of $15 for SFHV members and $20 for non-SFHV members.

    Dr. Kenneth Weinberg will be joining us at the library to share his newest book “Exquisite Moments of Sorrow and Grace”. In this memoir, Dr. Weinberg takes readers through his varied career in medicine, a path he never expected to go down after obtaining a film degree in the 1960s. Throughout the book, Dr. Weinberg shares stories from the various clinics and hospitals in which he’s worked, highlights how medical care and practices have changed over the decades, and discusses how his family and faith have shaped his long, fulfilling, and occasionally difficult career.
