    If you're looking for a low-impact, gentle exercise in a welcoming group setting, be sure to stop by our new Tai Chi for Seniors program in Stuyvesant! We are partnering with the Office of the Aging to bring this free program to seniors. Stop by for this energizing exercise, and learn more about the various services provided by the Office of the Aging as well! This series is made possible due to a generous grant through The Ackerman Foundation. This event takes place weekly at the Stuyvesant Town Hall. Please contact us if you need assistance!

    Gentle yoga is back at the Library! Those of us who have tried yoga have learned that it can be a lot more intense than it looks! That’s why we are working with Village Yoga to bring this exciting program back to the Library for those of us who are looking for a less strenuous, but just as relaxing, experience. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one. This series is brought to you thanks to a generous grant from The Hover Foundation.

Join us at the library for a home selling workshop with Beth DeMatteo, a licensed Realtor serving Kinderhook, Columbia County, and Southern Rensselaer County. Beth will cover the selling process, current market trends, and key considerations. She’ll be joined by Keith Enos of Enos Home Inspections and a mortgage lender from Homestead Funding, ready to answer your questions. Light refreshments will be served.

    Dr. Bronner, Professor at the University at Albany and author of Albany During the American Revolution, will lead an engaging discussion on the roles and experiences of Tories and Patriots in the Kinderhook area during the Revolutionary War. A highlight of the presentation will be excerpts from the January 1776 minutes of the Albany Committee of Safety and their connection to Kinderhook. Dr. Bronner will also display short historical works from Canaan, a paper on the revolt at Livingston Manor, and other informative articles, which he will share along with their references.
