Wednesdays, Oct. 21, Nov. 18, Dec. 16 TAB is back! Join our teen volunteer group in planning teen events and making the library a better place for teens. Joining is easy: just stop by a meeting and enjoy a snack! Attendees earn one hour of community service per meeting. Open to Grades 6-12. Meetings run from 5:00pm-6:00pm. If you’re interested in learning the art of tarot, you will not want to miss our newest meetup! Our tarot club will provide attendees with the chance to develop a deeper understanding of the individual cards and how to interpret them through hands-on practice. Help us get this new and exciting club off the ground as we learn together.
Adventurers: grab your dice and make a quest to the library for new, monthly Dungeons & Dragons events led by our local Dungeon Master, Dave! These evening sessions will introduce new players to D&D, and give returning players a chance to meet new party members. Before attending, please read the original 1820 story so we can explore together its humor, memorable characters, and themes that are as relevant today as they were two hundred years ago. Gentle yoga is back at the Library! Those of us who have tried yoga have learned that it can be a lot more intense than it looks! That’s why we are working with Village Yoga to bring this exciting program back to the Library for those of us who are looking for a less strenuous, but just as relaxing, experience. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one. This series is brought to you thanks to a generous grant from The Hover Foundation.
Saturday, Oct. 24 at 2:00pm We are excited to welcome author Christopher Nye to our library, who will be discussing his newest book “Beyond Tomorrow: Planning a New Civilization”. In his newest book, Nye paints a wide canvas and brainstorms how we might construct a world not just for sustainability and survival, but for human flourishing. This presentation will be followed by a Q&A session and the opportunity to purchase a copy of Nye’s book.

Fans of the macabre, join us on Mischief Night for two classic horror films derived from the works of H.P. Lovecraft! We’ll begin with The Haunted Palace starring Vincent Price and Lon Chaney (1963) and will be followed by Die, Monster, Die with Boris Karloff (1965). This harrowing evening will be hosted by local master of horror Bruce Hallenbeck.
